1.
VSCOcam
This app is probably on everyone's list of favorite photo editing apps because it is just
good. You need it. And yes, it is totally worth it to buy some of the extra filters. You also really need to play around with brightness, fade, shadows, tints, etc. Once you take advantage of the full set of features - you will love it too :) I edit most, if not all, of my photos with this app.
2.
PicFrame + Split Pic
I grouped these two apps together because they are similar to me - they both combine photos and I hardly use them. As much as I enjoy these apps they just usually don't fit into my "style" but they are great. PicFrame is the best (in my opinion) for combining photos and Split Pic (far right picture) is great for outfit photos. I say this about Split Pic because I have seen other people use it that way and it is awesome. I have yet to take full advantage of that app but I plan on it now :)
3.
Dubble
Dubble is a new app that I found and can be really cool. It mixes your photo with someone else's photo and sometimes you can get some
really cool images but
most of the time it is not that great. Nonetheless, I recommend it as something fun and potentially really awesome!
4.
Afterlight
Afterlight is a great app for editing full photos and getting a little more detailed on contrast, saturation, etc. (the finer details). A lot of people recommend this app and, while I don't use it that much, I do like it. This is usually my first stop and then I edit my photo with other apps after.
5.
Snapseed
Snapseed is similar to Afterlight because it is also great with fine tuning although it can be a little more complicated to use. I really love this app though because of the easy tilt-shift and center focus edits. I am not crazy about their preset filters but everything else in the app works great!
6.
Over
Finally, we need an app for text. Over is the one I have been using lately and am really digging the fonts that they offer on their app. Another great app for fonts is
Phonto but I just have not used it recently. I do not really put texts on my photos that often so I really use these apps for clean and easy names and text over my photos.
And that is it! I do not use that many apps for my photos and I hope this can help you guys have a little more fun editing your pictures and coming up with new creative ways to use all of the apps at once or just one! Are there any apps that you think I am missing out on? I'd love to know! :)
